2010 in pictures

2010 brought Halcyon all kinds of new adventures...

New furniture and a computer in our Children's room thanks to the Rotary Club of Anaheim.

Our fabulous Resident Manager worked with the Vons staff to provide backpacks stuffed with school supplies for the kids.

We had another successful Movie in the Park.

And a new Gardening bed where we have had fun new educational adventures with the kids.

Thanks to KHS&S contracting for building the box and to Disney for donating the soil, starter plants and seeds.

Of course, we were also blessed to witness new members born into families currently staying with us too.

What a joyous part of life to witness!

We had some great dance parties with the kids too...

It was definately a Happy Halloween.

And a Merry Christmas too...

Wreath and cookie decorating kits provided by Disney made a great party idea! Thanks again Disney!!!

Lets see what next year brings.

A look back...

With the Movies in the Park coming up, I thought it would be fun to look back at last years event.

The point of us having this event is to fill our food pantry with donations people bring as "Admission"         and to thank the community for all their support over the years.

It takes lots of careful planning from a group of dedicated people.

The end result is the best...

...food for our families.

So, Please Join us for this family friendly good time!

Moving forward...

The staff at Anaheim Interfaith Shelter/Halcyon have been coming up with ways to get more information out about our program. It is important to us to keep in touch with everyone who makes our program possible! What better way to do that than by reaching out where most of us probably spend a lot of time--the Internet!! Because really, who doesn't have a MySpace, Facebook, Twitter or Blog these days?
We also expect to be sending out a newsletter in the next few days, so keep an eye out for it and if you want to make sure you get it, send us an email and let us know Halcyonrs@gmail.com
